Rep. Paul Broun unsure if Obama is a citizen

Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) said Thursday that he does not know if President Barack Obama is either a citizen or a Christian.

Broun made the claim during an interview with Sirius XM host Pete Dominick, which was first flagged by the liberal blog Think Progress.

One thing he is certain: that Obama is a socialist

Asked if he thought the president is an “American citizen and a Christian,” Broun first responded, “I’m not going to get involved in that.”

But pressed on whether he thought Obama is a citizen, he said “I don’t know.”

“Is he a Christian?” Dominick then asked.

“I don’t know that,” Broun responded, explaining that “I’m a Christian but only me and the Lord know that for sure.”

The Georgia congressman spent much of the rest of the interview attacking Obama as a “socialist.”

“I know he is,” a socialist, Broun said. “You look at his own writings. He said when he was in college he leaned to Marxist tendencies and is linked to Marxist professors. He joined Marxists clubs. And look at who he’s put in his administration, they’re devout socialists.”

Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States stated that “WE THE PEOPLE” by and through Philip J. Berg and Obamacrimes.com forced Obama to address the issue at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, February 4, 2009 ! Obama, in part of his speech referred for the first time since the question of his being “Constitutionally eligible” stated,

“But surely you can question my policies without questioning my faith, or, [pause] for that matter,my citizenship.“ [Laughter and applause.] [emphasis added]

Berg said, “I knew that if we continued our efforts, those of obamacrimes.com, to expose Obama not being ‘Constitutionally eligible’ to be President, as this is the greatest ‘HOAX’ in the history of our country, that being over 230 years and the fact that Obama’s actions are a fraud !”

The actual words stated by Obama:
“Civility also requires relearning how to disagree without being disagreeable; understanding, as President [Kennedy] said, that “civility is not a sign of weakness.” Now, I am the first to confess I am not always right. Michelle will testify to that“. [Laughter.]

“But surely you can question my policies without questioning my faith, or, [pause] for that matter, my citizenship.” [Laughter and applause.] [emphasis added]

Berg said, “WOW, it is about time ! This is great. Our announcement of the ‘Birth Certificate March on Washington’ demanding Obama resign as President as he is ‘Constitutionally ineligible’ to be President was the Press Release that caused Obama to react.”
Berg stated, “Because of the response to date, shortly, we will announce the date for the “Birth Certificate March on Washington.”

Further, “We need Funds ASAP to be able to publicize the March and start to arrange specifics for the ‘Birth Certificate March on Washington.’ Go to obamacrimes.com to make your contribution.”

Berg is requesting all citizens of the United States to email, fax or mail a “copy” of their Birth Certificate that will be presented to Obama demanding that Obama resign because he has failed to produce his long form [vault] Birth Certificate and other citizenship documents [Obama, an Indonesian Citizen ?] to show he is “Constitutionally eligible” to be President. Berg related an email he received. A woman from Texas told me she registered her thirteen [13] year old nephew for school. When registration was finished, her nephew asked the Principal, “Can I ask you a question?” The Principal said, “Yes.” Her nephew said, “How come I had to show my Birth Certificate to register for school, but Obama did not have to show his to be President ?”

Berg said, “That email motivated me to continue to expose Obama for the fraud he is !”

Berg continued, “Since the Courts are taking their time to get to the point of allowing ‘Discovery,’ it is time to motivate the citizens of the United States for a ‘Peaceful Revolution’ to expose the ‘HOAX’ of Obama, the biggest ‘HOAX’ in the history of our country, in over 230 years !”

November 24, 2009, Lawrence J. Joyce, Esquire on behalf of himself as Amicus and Counsel for Amicus Philip J. Berg, Esquire filed a Motion today seeking Leave of Court to file a Brief Amicus Curiae. What this means is Mr. Joyce and Mr. Berg are seeking the Court’s permission to file their Brief Amicus Curiae in the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. In addition, Mr. Joyce and Mr. Berg also filed their Brief Amicus Curiae.

What is a Brief Amicus Curiae? Amicus Curiae is a legal Latin phrase, which means “friend of the court”, that refers to someone, not a party to a case, who volunteers to offer information on a point of law or some other aspect of the case to assist the court in deciding a matter before it. The information may be a legal opinion in the form of a Brief, a testimony that has not been solicited by any of the parties, or a learned treatise on a matter that bears on the case.

In other words, a Brief Amicus Curiae is a legal argument filed in a lawsuit by a person or organization not a party to the case, but who has an interest in the outcome.

Organizers of a new march on Washington are offering Americans the opportunity to show President Obama their birth certificates and declare that unless he produces documentation of his eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, he should quit.

The event is headed by Philip Berg, the first to bring court challenges to Obama’s eligibility under the U.S. Constitution’s requirement that presidents be a “natural born citizen.”

While a number of cases, including several of his own, remain pending, Berg told WND today the issue needs to be pressed.

“Since the courts are taking their time to get to the point of allowing ‘discovery,’ it is time to motivate the citizens of the United States for a ‘peaceful revolution’ to expose the ‘hoax’ of Obama, the biggest ‘hoax’ in the history of our country, in over 230 years,” he said.

Berg, who publicizes his cases through his ObamaCrimes.com website, said the planned “Birth Certificate March on Washington” will demand Obama resign.

A date and other logistical details of the march are to be announced within a few days, Berg told WND. Demand the truth by joining the petition campaign to make President Obama reveal his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate!

He’s also asking all citizens to e-mail, fax or mail a copy of their own birth certificates to him to present to Obama. The president should resign, he said, “because he has failed to produce his long form birth certificate to show he is ‘constitutionally eligible’ to be president.” (He said if people choose, they could black out private information.)
